Golden doorway

 

If you proceed north from Peristil, you will arrive to Golden doorway which was the Entrance to the city from the mainland. Here you may also Observe the external walls of the palace with high windows and arcs where once statues of saints as well as guards watched the Enter. Unfortunately, the interior of the palace changed drastically over centuries so you will notice a fusion of early Antique period and the legacy of modern times.
